Tired of the extreme heat? Join the Worker Solidarity Network for an evening of learning at Collingwood Neighbourhood House (5288 Joyce St, Vancouver).
The session will cover:
How extreme heat impacts you in your workplace
What your workplace rights are when climate events strike at work
How to access these rights during extreme heat
How else you can organize with your coworkers to ensure you are well protected
Come ready to share your questions and ideas! No prior knowledge is necessary, your voice and experiences are sufficient.
This Kusina session will be preceded by a preparation of salmon sinigang in the community kitchen, starting at 4:30 PM.
While Kusina is rooted in Filipino values of care, community, and bayanihan, this space is open to everyone of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Created by Filipinos, for everyone, we welcome anyone looking for support, connection, resources, or community.
