Kusina: Navigating separation and divorce with YWCA BC

Separation and divorce can feel overwhelming, but understanding the process is an important first step.

Join us for our next Kusina session in partnership with YWCA BC, where we'll provide a practical, plain-language overview of how divorce works in British Columbia.

The session will cover

  • Legal requirements for divorce

  • Grounds for divorce in BC

  • The key issues that need to be resolved

  • The steps involved in the process

  • What timelines you can expect

While Kusina is rooted in Filipino values of care, community, and bayanihan, this space is open to everyone of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Created by Filipinos, for everyone, we welcome anyone looking for support, connection, resources, or community.

Whether you're considering separation, currently navigating the legal system, or simply want to understand your rights, this free session is designed to help you make informed decisions in a supportive environment.

This workshop is open to women-identifying participants only.
